Postulancy The postulancy period is done in Bandung. The male postulants stay in Damien Seminary and have a unified program with the female postulants. The courses include intensive English, basic social sciences, prayer life, personality building, live in programs and apostalates. The duration is 18 months. Novitiate
The Novitiate is in Manila, the Philippines. The male and female novices from Asia and Pacific have common programs. The duration for the sisters candidates is two years while for the candidates of priests and non clerical brothers is one year. The area of formation include prayer life, apostolates, spirituality, psychology, reflections together with the novices from other religious orders, live in programs with the poor and the marginalized, international program within the Congregation. The lingua franca is English.
Scholasticate  The scolasticate is the period of formation after the fisrt profession. The junior members continue the basic formation they have had in the Novitiate, deepening their religious life and sharpening their apostolic sense. For the sisters, this period fo formation is done in Bandung. For the brothers, it is done in Bandung and Yogyakarta. In this academic year, one last batch of priests candidate will finish their philosophical studies in Bandung and then, they will join with other candidates who are now doing their philosophical and theological studies in Jogyakarta. The non clerical brothers and sisters study the rudiments of philosophy and theology and then specialize themselves in vocational studies according to their talents, interests, the need of the time and the need of the Congregation.
